Too sad to eat, dog lost everything

He lost his home and family and doesn’t want to eat – needs out now

Obie, a seven-year-old pit bull mix, has lost everything. He lost his home, his family, and everything that was once familiar. The toll of loss has impacted Obie emotionally and physically – he is so upset that he is losing weight because he doesn’t even want to eat.

Obie has been at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, since July 7 and now he needs out – his situation is urgent. The volunteer-run Facebook page for this animal control agency wrote:

OBIE is a sweet guy that has hated every minute of being in the shelter after losing his home and his family that he loved so much. He has lost so much weight, he doesn’t want to eat and he is now OUT OF TIME!!

This is a busy, high-intake animal control agency…dogs who have been at the shelter for a long period of time are at great risk of being put down, especially when space becomes an issue. Please share Obie’s information and help him find a new family to love.

I’m in St Augustine, FL. I’ve tried once before, when I saw a big mastiff called Reckless. I believe Reckless has gotten started towards his rescue! ..with 5 people waiting in line. I will take Obie, or any at high risk dog. If someone in the rescue group, or in the shelters area wants to reach out to help me, I’m willing. I have my own pack of many breeds..mostly bully dogs, jack russells and mutts. I live on 5 acres with 2 ponds and room to run. Ive delt with difficult scared dogs and will put great effort into rehabilitating. I hope all the dogs get saved.
