A homeless woman, stricken with cancer, is desperately searching for her missing companion dog who was stolen from a friend’s yard in Riverside, California. According to Friday’s NBC Los Angeles News, on August 9, the Pomeranian-mix, named “Clyde,” vanished from the gated yard of her friend’s home – he hasn’t been seen yet.
Julie Treadwell, who is dealing with ovarian cancer (for the third time), is devastated that her dog is gone – she told the news agency, “It’s been really hard. I’m really depressed. It’s made me sick; my cancer cells are acting up more now.” She added “I feel empty inside.”
Treadwell managed to scrape together $100 for a reward – anyone with information about the missing dog is asked to reach out to the Riverside Police Department at 951-826-5700.
