Two days ago, a dire plea was issued on behalf of a young dog who was found huddled beneath a shed during a storm. The dog, a one to two-year-old Kelpie mix dubbed Stormy (of course), was taken to a South Texas animal shelter near Corpus Christi – a shelter that is full.
The plea for Stormy reads:
Stormy is a beautiful kelpie mix (her ears stand up) she was found huddled under an abandoned shed during a bad thunderstorm. This girl is only 1-2 years old and around 40 pounds. Stormy escaped the thunder but she can’t escape DEATH at a FULL kill shelter! Her stray hold has come and gone! Stormy MUST leave the building MONDAY or she will be EUTHANIZED!
On Monday, just an hour ago, the volunteer-run Facebook page which is networking to help save this dog, notified followers that nobody has tagged her for adoption or rescue – her time is nearly up and nobody has stated that they can save her life.
Stormy survived being on her own – she survived a wicked storm, but she may not survive the shelter that she was taken to.
