Update: Both dogs have been rescued!
Two beautiful dogs, sitting in a kennel run in a storm ravaged part of Texas, have nothing left except each other. The Harris County Animal Shelter Volunteers Facebook page highlighted the bonded pair on Saturday:
Their names and each other. That’s all their family left them with.
In the face of the potential tragedy of a category four hurricane, their family abandoned Sadie and Baella at the shelter. In a time when family is supposed come together to protect each other, theirs left them to weather the storm alone, in cold, noisy shelter. Now all they can do is nuzzle together and pray they make it out alive.
Fortunately, Sadie and Baella were not left to fend for themselves in the devastating storm. Sadly, though they are safe, warm and dry at the animal control facility, their future remains uncertain. The harsh truth is that all of the dogs at the “pound” do not make it out alive.
Sadie and Baella need a new home – their family is not coming back. Please share the information for these bonded dogs…networking saves lives.

Way to go owners, save yourselves and dump your dogs! Don’t they deserve to go with you? They wouldn’t abandon you if they had to evacuate! I hope and pray Sadie and Baella make it to a new loving home, I will be sharing their plight in hopes it will help keep them together.
I think I got cut from the roster after I protested about HSUS !!! I don’t get the posts anymore since that day nor do I get the replies..
Good luck today .if you show up you will win Molly’s freedom.
They are hoping you don’t show.you get that judge to give you Molly for ever
What can I say, after all its Texas. I’m sorry Sadie and Baella your humans betrayed you. I pray you find a loving home, and hopefully be able to stay together.
Hope and pray someone will adopt both dogs together. When we got our last dog, if she was with another dog that she was bonded to, I would have adopted both. Not only good companions together, but provide comfort to each other when you go out or go to work.
They look so scared.
Got room for a couple of sweet girls?
YEAH THAT IS GREAT TAKING CARE OF YOURSELVES BUT COULDN’T GIVE A GOOD DAMN FOR THESE TWO DOGS. HOPE THE OWNERS FUTURE IS SHIT AND IT HAPPENS VERY SOON FOR DUMPING THE DOGS.
What ASSHOLES!!! I think the Owners need to be thrown in a cage and let them see how it is!!!! They need to be charged. Those poor babies have nothing and no hope!!!!PLEASE SAVE THEM!!!!

These poor girls need a break. Being dumped at the shelter during a hurricane isn’t much fun. Luckily they have each other. And us. They need a foster home, pledges and a rescue group. They need out asap as the shelter is beyond full. Don’t let them be destroyed for time/space.

We’re well aware of this site. It needs to shared on face book! Please do so and thank you.
Can someone please share what CITY Harris County is in? These posts tend to forget that this is the world-wide-web. People are not familiar with counties and may not have time to search. Help people share efficiently and easily. Give us the city.
Sheila in this case the shelter is in Houston. Harris County is a huge area.
Based on the Facebook page, these two went to a Boxer rescue. Thank goodness! Now to network all the others in need!
Did they really? Yay!!
I’d love to see freedom pictures.
Can someone verify if these two were rescued together? Where is a direct FB link or page? And, is there a specific shelter name that they were at?
More info PLEASE!
They both were rescued separately to 2 different rescues. Face book page above.
