Three deer were brutally beaten with a blunt object by an unknown trespasser in Nature’s Classroom located in Hillsborough County. Two captive adult deer were found dead by a staff caretaker the morning of October 3, and a third younger deer was seriously injured and died the next day despite being treated by a veterinarian for her injuries.
The deer were considered to be pets to staff, as well as to children who visited the environmental education facility.
