At the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office in Toledo, Ohio, deputies responded to what had been called “an organized squeaker crime scene with intent to defluff.” It seems as if a stuffed lamb (aka Lamby) had been discovered in Major Dave Friddell’s office face down.
Lamby’s stuffing had been scattered across the floor, and the stuffie had been “fully compromised.” Who could have done such a heinous deed; there had been no signs of forced entry?

And then the investigation began. “After a careful analysis of the debris pattern, bite radius and advanced snack-based profiling,” Deputy Moby turned out to be the prime suspect. To Moby, it’s always about the squeaker, and with his canine stealth abilities, he only needed 42 seconds to allegedly commit the squeaker crime.
There may not have been a direct admission, but the tail wag during questioning raised additional concerns the detectives stated.

Deputy Moby refused to answer questions, citing an ongoing squeaker investigation, and reminded deputies he is ‘innocent until proven fetchable.’ He then demanded belly rubs and representation
The investigation remains active.
The carpet has been vacuumed.
Trust has been shaken.
Nap time is pending.
Later in the day, Deputy Moby had been sent home on an OR bond. He was spotted conferring with Mr. Monkey about his day. It appears Moby was playing “got your nose” with Mr. Monkey.
