In a very sad and heartbreaking situation in Licking, Missouri, a kind, older man had made it his life’s mission to help the dumped dogs and cats no one wanted and keep them safe. Tragically, the man has passed away, and now all of the animals he cared for, will need to be adopted, relocated to foster homes or brought to approved animal rescues in the area.

Stray Rescue of St. Louis has stepped forward, and on Friday morning, headed out to the property to bring back as many of the animals as they can.

Our shelter is full of dogs we are rescuing from the streets, so we can only bring back as many as we have fosters for! It is important to note we don’t know about their behaviors, but are told they all get along with one another (which leads us to believe they are dog friendly) and have been very sweet to the Good Samaritans there on-site helping.
