Bernedoodle puppy safe after stolen with dog walking van

In San Francisco, a six-month-old bernedoodle puppy, stolen along with a van in the Nob Hill neighborhood on Tuesday morning, has been recovered and the puppy unharmed, according to San Francisco police on Tuesday evening.

According to the dog walking company, the walker had stepped away from the van leaving the keys in it, for a few minutes to pick up another dog; the puppy named Murray was inside of the van by himself. Within moments, the dog walker stated someone had slipped in behind the wheel of the van and left; Murray inside of the vehicle.

The dog walker chased the vehicle down the street and was able to see the driver and provide authorities with a good description of the thief. The driver was found not far away by the San Francisco Police Department. He has been arrested and faces charges pending the investigation.

The good news – the van was not damaged, and the puppy was not harmed.

Murray has been reunited with his family.
