In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a family dog named Belle, got herself into a most precarious situation, and it took the firemen from St. George Fire Department to rescue her.

On Sunday, Engine 613 responded to a public assist on Chalmette Avenue. The homeowner told the crew her dog had been chasing something under a slab of concrete, and she couldn’t get out. Firemen called for backup from Ladder 618, and the rescue work began.

The crew were able to remove a few larger pieces of the concrete and help Belle to escape. She was one happy pup when finally freed.

There were no injuries, Belle didn’t even get to catch what she was chasing!
