In Kearns, Utah, the Unified Fire Authority rescuers responding to a house fire on Friday rescued a small puppy that had been hiding under the burning structure.
The fire caused heavy damage to the house before firemen were able to get the blaze under control in a period of a half-hour. No one was in the home at the time, and there have been no reports of any injuries. The house is a total loss as only the basement area survived the fire.
According to the Unified Fire Twitter account, the frightened puppy was pulled to safety.
“Its fur was a little singed, but otherwise appeared healthy. Great work!

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
