Just over two months ago, a four-year-old dog named Bonnie Marie was surrendered to a busy California animal shelter where she seems to be invisible. The German shepherd mix has been at the facility since mid-June, and during that time, nobody has expressed any interest in her.

An advocate writes of the sad situation:

Los Angeles forever homes needed 🤍 I got to spend some time with some really great dogs. All of whom have been at the shelter for months – unnoticed – with no interest. I visit the shelter weekly and haven’t met these dogs yet. In an overcrowded care center it’s easy to be passed by. 😞. Shelter staff is doing what they can to help these dogs be seen and adopted or rescued – but the dogs just keep coming in.

Bonnie Marie is on the list of overlooked dogs who have had zero interest. Please share her information and help her find a forever home. She thought she had one…until her owner made other plans.

  1. I hate black dog and cat syndrome, gees it’s just fur color and they deserve to have a family too. I have 5 black cats and one black dog and they are just like all the others. People need to stop ignoring the black pets.
