On Sunday, Martha Stewart announced the death of her senior cat, Princess Peony, who was killed by Stewart’s dogs. The announcement was made via Instagram in a rather odd post that read:
burying the beautiful and unusual Princess Peony. the four dogs mistook her for an interloper and killed her defenseless little self. i will miss her very badly . RIP beauty
The Instagram post was accompanied by a photo of the 12-year-old cat’s grave being dug.
The next Instagram post was a photo of the kitty who was killed.
As reported by Today, Princess Peony was one of three cats who resided on Martha Stewart’s farm.
