In Brookhaven, Mississippi, a dog had been chasing a rodent when he met up with quite the challenge – the adventurous pooch ran right into the rim of a truck tire.

According to Dr. Watson at the Brookhaven Animal Hospital, the owner brought the dog into the hospital with the obvious issue. Although Dr. Watson indicated the dog may not have been in the best mood when he came in because of the discomfort and maybe even the embarrassment, but during the entire procedure to free him, the dog still wagged his tail.

When asked how Dr. Watson freed the pooch. the 30-years experienced veterinarian who likely has seen a lot of strange predicaments our beloved pets find themselves in, here’s what he said on the hospital’s Facebook page:

The answer to how the pups head was removed from the rim from Dr. Watson himself…..

I sedated him with a dose of IV sedatives and when it had taken effect I applied a judicious amount of KY jelly to his head, neck, and ears. I was then able to slip first one ear through the tire, then the other. After that the head slipped through easily. He had a few small abrasions but nothing serious. He was a super sweet patient.

Many thanks to everyone who helps those who cannot speak for themselves. On a lighter note, however, what do you think this poor pooch would have stated had he been able to speak?
