A senior dog named Yayo is “very sick,” and desperately in need of help. The eight-year-old dog is being held at the Miami-Dade Animal Services facility in Florida, and his time has nearly run out.

On May 10, Rescue Me Miami wrote about the various maladies this older boy is facing:

THIS POOR BOY IS VERY SICK – HE WAS GETTING BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS AND OTHER TREATMENTS – DEADLINE 5/11

‼️‼️‼️This pet requires a rescue commitment by: 10:30am 5/11/21 to avoid prolonging unnecessary pain or suffering.
‼️‼️‼️ Needs hospital care

presents from surgery due to being pale and SX unable to be performed
has bleeding masses on scrotum and a PCV of 12%
will need a blood transfusion and once stable neuter with scrotal ablation to remove the bleeding masses

Though the deadline was 5/11/21, Yayo’s Petharbor listing is still active as of the afternoon of May 12.

  1. NLL. I wish I could have fostered him. I am in Seattle, across the continent…… but I can take care of one more rescue…… I am heartbroken for this precious treasure…..

I am very sad he passed away. I am even sadder that he died alone, possibly in horrible pain, afraid & (worst of all), unloved in the shelter……

Precious treasure, I know that you are absolutely in Heaven. Please look for MacKitty and join his wonderful snuggle buddies group and RIP amongst loving friends.

  2. UPDATE: Susan Clifton assured me that Yayo has been rescued!!! She personally picked him up at the shelter and took him to the veterinary clinic straightaway.

I am VERY happy that this precious treasure is rescued!!! I have seen his Freedom Ride snapshot. He deserves to be in a loving furever family where he will be treated as a beloved family member!!!
I am beyond happy to see him rescued!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for your saving this precious treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
