A man who runs a dog training facility in Orange County, Virginia, has been banned for owning pets, but not from training them. As reported by WRIC News, 40-year-old Shawn Deehan, owner and operator of “Global Dynamic Security” and “The Perfect Dog,” was banned from owning pets after 12 neglected dogs were seized from him.
A judge ordered Deehan’s dogs to be turned over to the Orange County Animal Shelter, and barred him from possessing “companion animals,” but the ability to train dogs was not taken away.
In March, police found a dozen neglected dogs in the 3000 block of Pannell Lane – property owned by Deehan. The dogs were living in filthy, urine and feces laden crates and they did not have access to food or water. At least one of the dogs was underweight and the rest were suffering from urine burns on their skin.
