A sweet boy named Kisses has been overlooked at a Florida animal shelter for six VERY long years. On Monday, Susie’s Senior Dogs shared Kisses story, writing:
Six years ago, 8 year old Kisses was rescued from the streets of Florida. And he was named for all the kisses he gave to the person who rescued him! To this day, Kisses still loves to give kisses and his name suits him well.
This sweet-senior dog is reported to be dog friendly, house-trained and a true “love bug.” But he never gets any attention from adopters. Susie’s Senior Dogs writes:
Sadly, he’s been overlooked for the past six years at the shelter. And with each passing year, adopters have been less and less interested as he ages.
Kisses is with the Born Free Pet Shelter, which explained how he got his name:
Born Free Pet Shelter wrote, “Kisses is a lab-mix who has been at the shelter for 6 long years. When Kisses was found as a stray in 2015, his rescuer opened the car door to let him in and he could not stop kissing her – hence his perfect name.
According to the shelter, Kisses always has a wagging tail, and he “loves to be part of the fun.” Sweet Kisses loves belly rubs, car rides, and walks. What more could you ask for??

“Born Free Pet Shelter is located in Homestead, FL. It is a small shelter so transport is not available. Out of state adopters are allowed but the adopter will need to drive to the shelter to adopt Kisses in person or provide transportation.”
