A neglected and injured, young dog died after being abandoned in a box which was found in Boynton Beach, Florida. The two-year-old French bulldog was found in the parking lot of Rolling Green Elementary School in the 300 block of Northeast 26th Avenue on Wednesday night.

The Boynton Beach Police Department stated:

When Officer Eichorst arrived, she noticed the dog foaming at the mouth, breathing rapidly and unable to walk. She wrapped her in a blanket and took her to Veterinary Emergency Group (Pet PB). The vets there advised that her temperature was reading above 110 degrees and her heart rate was high.

According to a news release, the dog had a large, gaping wound in her chest, and showed signs of “obvious neglect.” Though the dog received veterinary care, she suffered seizures and brain swelling and died during the night.

The police have provided more details about the abandoned dog:

She was a brown brindle French bulldog, approximately two years old. She did not have a micro-chip nor did she have any tag/collar. She had been spayed.
We are sharing this heartbreaking story in the hopes that someone recognizes this dog or maybe saw who abandoned her. We are grateful to the incredible team at VEG Boynton Beach for their immediate willingness to try and help this poor pup.

And asked for help from anyone with information:

This is sad and disgusting beyond words can express….. The POSs who tortured this precious little treasure and abandoned her are pure evil!!!!!!!! Lock these POSs up and lose the keys!!!!! Should only leave prison in a pine box (& that is way too good for them)……. They will burn in the hottest part of Hell forever for their cruelty……. They can’t get to Hell fast enough………

Whilst I am VERY sad this precious little treasure didn’t survive, I am VERY grateful for those who saved her and tried their best to help her. In her last hours of life, she was loved……. She didn’t die on the streets alone, in pain, afraid, & (worst of all) unloved……

RIP precious treasure, your life mattered and we hope you get justice……. please look for MacKitty in Heaven and you can RIP amongst loving snuggle buddies….
