Man sentenced for punching dog in the face

A Michigan man, who punched a dog in the face, has been sentenced for his crime. As reported by Macomb Daily, Anthony Hooper, of Clinton Township, was sentenced to one year of probation by Judge Carrie Fucca.

Hooper’s cruel behavior was videotaped and posted to Snapchat. Viewers who saw the disturbing video emailed it to the Macomb County Animal Control, and the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office traced the video to a home in Clinton Township.  An investigation revealed that the shirtless man seen in the video was dog sitting for the victimized dog’s owner.

Judge Fucca’s sentence followed a plea deal for Hooper. During probation, Hooper is not allowed to own or possess any animals. Hooper must also attend counseling for impulse control. The dog who was punched has been returned to its owner.
