A senior dog finds himself alone in a frightening shelter kennel run after his family surrendered him for being “too old.” The 12-year-old dog, named Sam, is being held at the BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. On Wednesday, the Houston Animal Shelter Heroes Facebook page writes:
Senior Sam could be in danger any day and needs a hero! His owners didn’t want him anymore because he’s old 🥺

He’s likely very confused after being in a home for 12 years. He was covered in fleas on intake and is underweight at only 35 lbs. This old guy deserves better. He deserves to know love and a home for whatever time he has left. Please let us know if you can help Sam. 🏡
