A dog in Ross County, Ohio, was so badly matted when he was found that he could not walk. The Ross County Humane Society is hoping to find out who is responsible for his horrible neglect. On Tuesday, the animal welfare agency wrote:
We are seeking information about the possible owner of a dog who was brought in yesterday to the shelter by the Ross County Dog Warden. The dog was picked up on Poes Run in Londonderry.
And described his pitiful condition:
This morning this dog had to be painfully shaved down to the skin because he was so matted that he couldn’t walk. This is definitely one of the worst matting cases we have seen in a while. His legs were so matted that he doesn’t have function in one of his paws from the loss of circulation.
After carefully being groomed, this little guy looks like a brand new dog, and he is feeling much better as well!
