And then there was one…so begins the Facebook post about the lone dog remaining at an Ohio animal shelter. The Mahoning County Dog Warden alerted followers to Lacey, a lovely pit bull who is patiently waiting to be noticed at the shelter facility.
According to the shelter, Lacey is a two-to-three-year old pit bull who has been overlooked while the other dogs have been adopted. The shelter writes,
“I propped all the doors open so she could follow me around from one side of the kennels to the other. She kept looking in the empty cages expecting to see another dog.”
Lacey enjoys human company, including plenty of cuddles, but she can be “selective” with other dogs and is best suited to being the queen of her new family’s household.
Though the shelter is currently closed to the public, interested adopters can email email@example.com to request an application and arrange an adoption appointment. Adoption fee is $150 and includes spay surgery, rabies vaccine, dapp vaccine, dewormer, dog license and heart worm test.
Good luck Lacey!
