At the Carson Animal Care Center in California, Blackie’s family dumped him because they felt he was “too old.” Believed to be both blind and deaf, he was left at the shelter after 15 years.

According to volunteers, Blackie is not doing well and has been crying. He needs help now.

#A5294812 My name is BLACKIE and I’m an approximately 15 year old male Pug. I am already neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 6/27. I will be available on 6/27. You can visit me at my temporary home at C403. My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they thought I had gotten too old.

That poor furbaby…… Absolutely disgusting……. How can someone do this and still like what they see in the mirror looking back at them???

It’s absolutely heartbreaking how awful and callous some individuals can be to defenseless animals…… who were supposed to be treated as treasured family members……

I can’t understand how anyone would abandon a treasured senior family member……. How can anyone be so cruel to a loving family member when they are most in need of love and support??? Precious Treasure Blackie, your life matters, I am very sorry that you were failed so horribly by your humans……..

I would give anything to have had more time with our treasured MacKitty…… Our precious furbabies are family members and are with us forever (from adoption day to their last breaths of life)…….. Whilst I hate seeing senior treasures in a shelter (@ least they are in a place that is protected from predators, fed, watered, and hopefully rehomed), they have a chance for a new furever home, where they will be treasured family members…….

It is tragic to think of them dying in the shelter alone, afraid and worst of all unloved……

I am in Northern California but if someone is headed this way, this precious treasure is welcome with us……

Pure Evil……. I think these POSs (so called family) are absolutely disgusting and headed to a reserved spot in Hell where they will burn forever for their cruelty…..
