Happiness and acceptance were a long time coming for one dog who spent over two years of her life locked away in a Florida shelter. Her name is Ember and she lost her original home when her family got a new puppy and she became “over-protective” of the new pooch, reported ABC 7 News.
The last two-and-a-half-months of Ember’s life have been spent at the Manatee County Animal Services facility. On Tuesday, the animal welfare agency shared the wonderful news of Ember’s adoption:
We are so happy to announce that Ember is officially ADOPTED! 🎉💕🎉💕 Over 2 1/2 years at MCAS and she finally has a family! We wish you a happy life, Ember, you’re very special to the staff and volunteers at MCAS!
Congratulations Ember – may your new life be filled with plenty of toys, treats, love and years of unwavering devotion!
