What could be more tragic than a five-pound rat terrier huddled in the corner of a noisy over-crowded shelter afraid to venture even one step forward? Found as a stray on July 9, his family seems to have abandoned him, and through the Miami-Dade County Animal Services, is scheduled to be available for adoption on Wednesday, July 13.
Dubbed Taco, a Facebook page advocating for rescue or adoption assistance can be found here. Click here for Taco’s Pet Harbor listing. ID#A1798899.
“I am an unaltered male, white and tan Chihuahua – Smooth Coated.
The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 09, 2016. Although I am still in my stray holding period, I may be available for the Foster to Adopt Program. Click here to learn more.”
Animal shelters are overcrowded at this time of year, and these innocent victims of abandonment, neglect and cruelty need our help. Please share Taco’s plight with approved rescue organizations, family, friends and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.

Poor baby, prayers he finds a loving home before it’s too late!

Couldn’t find specific info on this guy… I would love to adopt him! I have two toy fox terriers that he would certainly bond with.
