A puppy was seriously injured after being deliberately thrown from a balcony in Kansas City, Missouri. On Monday, KC Pet Project, which has taken the injured pup, named “Max,” under its wing, updated Facebook followers about the cruel situation.

The agency explained, “Little puppy Max was rushed to KC Pet Project by a Kansas City, Missouri animal control officer after he sustained life-threatening injuries. His former owner reported Max was deliberately thrown off the balcony of a home in Kansas City.”

The resulting fall from the balcony caused significant injuries to the innocent puppy, including bruised lungs, knocked out teeth and a fractured leg – Max’s lungs are damaged enough that breathing is difficult. According to KC Pet Project, Max’s leg has been splinted and he is receiving medication to help manage his pain. Eventually, he will need orthopedic surgery to repair his damaged leg.

The Kansas City Police Department is actively working the case to ensure that cruelty charges will be filed against Max’s abuser. Donations to help Max receive all of the veterinary care that he needs can be made to KC Pet Project at this link.

The monster(s) who did this should have to pay ALL vet bills, a hefty fine, and have some jail time. Nothing less. Poor sweet pup. Your life will be better from this point on.

Charges better be brought against whoever did this evil act! It would seem torturing puppies seems to be the new national pastime! Until the ones doing this are punished severely enough, I fear it will continue. Speedy recovery Max, I’m so sorry humans have done this to you!
