A beautiful, sweet German shepherd has been overlooked at a busy California animal control agency since early December. The senior dog, eight years of age, has been held at the Los Angeles County Animal Control (Downey) facility since December 1.
She needs some help
Rita Earl Blackwell, a photographer who volunteers her time helping homeless shelter dogs find new homes, has provided some information (and lovely images) of the senior shepherd, whose name is Hannah:
We all fell instantly in love with this petite, happy girl. She has been at the shelter since 12/1/18 so she really needs our help. Hannah does so well out in the play yard with other dogs that she is used as a ‘helper dog’ to help introduce more fearful and timid dogs to playgroup due to her casual yet delicate approach when greeting.
Blackwell describes Hannah as gentle and dainty, as well as “very mellow and soft, social and tolerant of dogs.”
Please consider helping Hannah
Hannah has all of the attributes of a wonderful companion – friendly, sweet, and social. Please consider sharing this article to help this beautiful senior dog find a family who will love her for the rest of her life.
