Monroe County woman faces charges after throwing dog from car and then claims it was stolen

In Polk Township of Monroe County, a 67-year-old woman faces animal cruelty charges after allegedly throwing her dog out of the car and then reporting the dog stolen.

According to Lehigh Valley Live, Pennsylvania State Police in Lehighton said the incident happened on March 20 along Interchange Road in Polk Township at a gas station. She then reported the dog had been stolen from her vehicle as she got gas.

An investigation by officers later stated the woman threw the dog from her car window before arriving at the gas station. The investigation continues. No charges have yet to be filed.
