In the United Kingdom, an adorable pup named “Button” surely must have borrowed one extra life from a neighborhood kitty after he fell nearly 150 feet down a cliff and survived with only minor injuries.
According to the Facebook page of the Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team located in Bridlington, England, Button had been on a casual walk with her owner when she apparently slipped and tumbled down the cliff.
The Coastguard Rescue Team from Bridlington were tasked along with the Filey Team by Humber Coastguard this morning at 11:10BST (22nd June) to reports of a dog over the cliff close to the Thornwick Bay Holiday Park.

The team arrived at the scene and once the dog was spotted, a technical cliff rescue staff determined the best way to rescue the dog would be for two technicians to descend the cliff and bring her up. Button was a very friendly dog and was quite happy to meet her rescuers.
The dog was placed in an animal rescue bag and taken back up the cliff into the care of its owners and to the vets.
they saved our beautiful girl and brought her back to us. She doesn’t appear to have any major injuries but is shocked and dazed and now resting at home.

This is an important reminder that when walking dogs on cliff top paths ensure they are kept on a lead; should anything happen never put yourself in danger, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
