Sacramento County, CA – A teenager accused of killing multiple cats in Orangevale was arrested on Tuesday. According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Colin Lendewig was arrested on petty theft and animal cruelty charges.
Lendewig was arrested after one of the pet owners provided the police with Ring video footage showing a man (identified as Lendewig) picking up cats from her property. One cat was never found, and the other was found deceased.
There are Ring videos from two occasions and in one distressing video, the suspect can be seen picking up a cat who is can be heard crying. A “snap” can be heard and then the cat is silent, reports CBS News.
Sgt. Kionna Rowe, of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, said, “People were outraged about this. It’s concerning. It really shocks the conscious.”
Lendewig was booked into jail on Monday and released on Tuesday. Area residents are afraid of what he might do next.

Kill a animal let em out on bail. Smoke a joint and go to prison for decades or life! I am sick to death of these monsters being let out of jail before a hearing. This neighborhood is right to be afraid of what he’ll do next cuz everyone has a gun even the evil vile freaks like this.
