A senior dog dubbed Chewie is waiting for someone to take notice of him at the Lancaster Animal Care facility in California. The 12-year-old dog is desperately in need of grooming – judging by his intake photo, it appears that this senior pooch has been badly neglected.

The shelter’s intake information reads:

SENIOR ALERT LANCASTER CAA4498342

My name is CHEWIE and I’m approximately 12 years and 3 months old male poodle min. I have been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since January 23, 2022.
Kennel #
L305
Intake Date
January 23, 2022
Weight in lbs
9.20

Chewie needs a good grooming session and some TLC. Networking his adoption information will help give him much-needed visibility and increase his chances of generating enough interest to get him rescued or adopted. You can find his adoption profile here.

  1. A few years ago we adopted our precious little treasure, Hazel, from this shelter. She was a wonderful companion!!!!!

I miss her very much: cancer and strokes are very wicked illnesses…….

If we still lived in CA, I would adopt from this shelter in a heartbeat!!!

I hope someone local can open up their heart and home for this precious little treasure…….. he definitely needs to be in a loving family…….
