Every night, four-year-old Raven curls up in her kennel with a big stuffed teddy bear and she drifts off to sleep, hoping that one day she will be in a home with a family of her own. The pit bull mix is in the care of the Kansas City Kansas Animal Services facility, and those who know her are pleading for help.
On Monday, Mission Driven created a social media post on Raven’s behalf, writing:
I am begging you all, please share Raven! Raven has been at the shelter since February waiting for her forever family. Every night she curls up on her oversized bear, hoping that tomorrow’s sunrise will bring her chance at a forever home.
Raven has been waiting since February for her happily-ever-after. She is described as potty-trained, and playful with other playful dogs. On Raven’s adoption video, more information has been provided about the homeless dog’s past:
Our little Raven is a 4 year old Pit Bull mix weighing 40 lbs. This sweet girl was saved after falling 10 feet into a window well. The scars on her body indicate the hard life she’d endured. She was terrified and didn’t want to be touched. But after a few months of being shown love and kindness by staff and volunteers— just look at Raven now! Raven’s become a silly, playful, loving pup! She’s still a timid girl, but once she gets to know you, she’s affectionate and seeks attention. Raven will need a home with someone who will be patient with her and give her the love and time she needs to trust and settle into her new home. She’s come so far already— she’s going to be such a sweet companion for the person who gives her the chance she deserves.
Raven is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm tested. Her adoption fee is $85.00. If you are interested in meeting Raven, please call 913-321-1445 to schedule an appointment.
