A California animal control agency has given a 72-hour rescue hold notice on a pup named Stanley. The nine-month-old dog has been at the facility since February 5, and because he is best-suited to be the only dog in a home, he is labeled “rescue only.”
The Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page writes:
Sweet Stanley is BEAUTIFUL and he is at the Downey shelter. He is just a-year-old and 51 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray with a collar embedded in his neck. He had surgery and is healing well.
Explaining the “rescue only” designation:
According to his assessment he is VERY friendly and easy to handle but he did not do well with the other dogs so they are requiring that he is RESCUE ONLY
