A puppy who was thrown from the window of a moving car, onto a highway in Idaho on Tuesday, had been reported stolen earlier the same day. As reported by Idaho News, the puppy, a 10-week-old Shitzu, survived being thrown onto Interstate 84, suffering road rash on his paws and mouth. Aside from the abrasions, the puppy is said to be “okay.”

Investigators were able to identify the owner of the pup.

The puppy was taken to West Valley Humane Society for care and is expected to eventually be reunited with his family.

Investigators need information

Investigators with the Nampa Police Department, and Idaho State Police, are hoping to find whoever stole and/or threw the puppy from the car. Anyone with information is asked to contact 208-343-COPS
