A Florida man has been arrested after video surfaced showing him hurling a cat through the air. As reported by WFTV News, 19-year-old Kelvin Colon is facing a felony charge of animal cruelty for the tail swinging incident.
On January 7, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Tweeted about the teen’s arrest, writing:
ARRESTED: Kelvin Colon, 19, on one count of felony Cruelty to Animals. He was filmed flinging a cat into the air by its tail & video was posted on social media. OPD and OCSO investigated, and he was arrested on a warrant this morning. Cruelty to animals will not be tolerated!
Unfortunately, the whereabouts of the victimized cat is unknown. The authorities attempted to find the cat, but were unsuccessful – as such, the condition of the cat is unknown as well.
