Dog beaten by people with bats

Police confiscate dog who was being beaten by people with baseball bats

A dog in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is recovering from injuries sustained in a cruel incident involving people who were hitting him with baseball bats. On Monday, the Facebook page Urgent Shelter Promotions for ACCT Philly, recounted the sad details:

This is Parker. He was brought into ACCT Philly by police at the end of the day after they confiscated him from a group of people beating him with baseball bats. He can still walk but he looks very uncomfortable. He is skin and bones and his spine looks weak or off centered.

Adding:

His front right leg is extremely swollen, so are other parts of his legs and feet. He has been badly beaten and needs to learn to trust again. He has been grateful to be with the police and ACCT staff and volunteers, but he is hesitant and in pain.

Parker is safe, but he is in need of a rescue group to take him in, continue his veterinary care, and help him learn to trust again. The volunteer-run Facebook page has provided information for potential rescue agencies:

TO FOSTER “RESCUE ONLY”
Dogs with medical issues need a rescue organization
✔If you can long term foster, you will need to get approved by a local rescue to foster through them
✔Email the shelter your contact info at lifesaving@acctphilly.org with Parker’s name and #A 42916801

People? They sound more like a bunch of chimpanzees, like mayhem at the monkey farm and this poor dog was unlucky enough to be caught in the middle of these sub-humans. Hope he’ll be OK. I suppose it’s a waste of time asking if anyone else of these sub humans were caught and maybe punished? Just another example of the need for vigilante justice.
