Nitro did nothing to deserve his current situation…he is a good boy who wants a family, but nobody seems to want him. Nitro has been held at New York’s Brookhaven Animal Shelter for over 980 days…

Efforts are being made to draw attention to Nitro’s plight – on Tuesday, a Facebook post was created on his behalf:

This happy go lucky guy is Nitro, he is in the market for a new and loving family. He was picked up stray by a Good Samaritan and has waited for his family to come and get him but that never happened.

He is looking for a human(s) to share his world with, he has so much love to share. He would really enjoy a bed to curl up in and some daily play time.

Information about Nitro:

Nitro is about 50 pounds, estimated to be 3-4 years young, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.

According to the page created on Nitro’s behalf, he needs to join a household free of other animals. Please help Nitro finally get out of the shelter by sharing this article!
