There is a happy resolution for the family of a dog who disappeared when their SUV was stolen in Denver, Colorado. As reported by KDVR News, a tip led the Meronk family to the recovery of their missing Honda CV-V, and most importantly, their one-year-old dog, Lily.

Lily was inside of the vehicle when an opportunistic criminal stole it from where it had been parked on Lawrence Street. The distraught family announced the offering of a reward and reached out via social media in an effort to bring their beloved dog home.

The tip leading to Lily’s return came shortly after midnight on Saturday. The family discovered their SUV parked outside of an apartment complex in Centennial and Lily was still inside – fortunately unharmed. Aside from being tired, hungry and thirsty, Lily appears to be okay.

The family has expressed gratitude for the public’s help in bringing their dog home.
