A man, accused of slamming his girlfriend’s Yorkie terrier puppy to the ground, is wanted by the police. According to the Taunton Gazette, on November 10, in the midst of a domestic dispute, 24-year-0ld Christian J. Soares picked up his girlfriend’s seven-month-old puppy and slammed him to the ground.
Soares’ girlfriend told officers with the Taunton Police Department that the man “slammed him down as hard as he could.” When officers arrived, the puppy appeared to be lifeless and was struggling to breathe – the grievously injured puppy was taken to a veterinary hospital and treated for head trauma, but his current condition is not known.
The problems on the day of the incident allegedly happened when Soares was denied taking the couple’s two-week-old baby in his vehicle because he didn’t have the appropriate car seat. Soares is also accused of attacking his girlfriend in the incident, though she refused to get medical treatment.
The authorities are now searching for Soares, who was last seen in his red Mercedes truck. The Brockton, Massachusetts, man is facing charges for animal cruelty and assault and battery. This isn’t Soares’ first run-in with the wrong-side of the law…in 2012 he faced charges for attempted murder in a drug deal which went bad.
Soares’ last known address is 294 Prospect St.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
