In a horrific case of animal abuse occurring in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, a donkey had been tied up and brutally beaten with a pipe. His abuser was so angry, he repeatedly hit the donkey on his head – so hard that the animal’s eye ruptured. Abrasions, cuts and bruises covered the innocent animal’s body. How he survived such brutality was just pure luck.
Why the donkey was beaten sent chills up the spine of his rescuers. According to Animal Aid Unlimited, the man who beat the donkey had been in an altercation with someone else, and purposely tortured his rival’s animal to prove what “a tough guy he was.”
When rescuers discovered the animal, they had never witnessed such cruelty. The donkey’s new life began when rescuers literally picked him up and transported him back to the hospital. He had bruises all over his face- his eye had literally popped out of its socket from the repeated blows. For the next five weeks, the donkey named Veeru, which means “brave” in Hindu, gradually improved. Rescuers undertook the task of slowly gaining his trust.
The man who inflicted the egregious cruelty on Veeru has since been arrested and is currently awaiting his trial. Be the voice for those who cannot speak. It doesn’t matter where you live- it matters to the animals you help. Just ask Veeru and listen to his joyful “brays.”

Check out Veeru’s happy ending. Surely, no matter what has upset you this Monday morning, this video will ultimately make you smile:
I’ll just never stop being horrified by cruel and sickening humans and what they do to innocent animals!!
This just shows that no country is immune from stupid and barbaric people. I hope he gets put away for a very long time as he is a menace to society.
Before his trial, do the same to him and see how he survives.
I hope same one hits this SOB in the head and let him rot in jail.
Why is this horrible man still alive? His special place in a place worse than Hell is surely waiting for him!
I absolutely love seeing the work that Animal Aid does….this is a phenominal group of angels for animals. THANK YOU Animal Aid!!!
Thank goodness for the donkey was saved, (I hope), India has very few laws against animal abuse. I doubt anything will happen!
