On Sunday, a thief stole a man’s 2002 Ford F250 from the parking lot of a Safeway in Seatac, WA. Inside the truck was a young puppy named Lucca. As reported by Fox News, the 10-week-old Labrador retriever was in a crate in the truck, and his family is desperate to get him back.

Missing puppy, Lucca

David Rose, with Fox 13 News, reached out to the public for help on Monday, writing:

A 10-week-old yellow lab mix puppy named ‘Lucca’ was inside a crate in the truck and was also stolen. ‘Lucca’s’ owner is pleading for his return.
Her boyfriend took him to the grocery store with him because he was making a bunch of noise while she was on a Zoom call. He was trying to help her out. She says he feels absolutely terrible about what happened. Please don’t blame the victim. Blame the thief!

The truck was spotted in White Center on Monday, but the authorities could not pursue the vehicle because the driver refused to stop (current laws in place in Washington state prevent the police from pursuit – even if the vehicle is stolen).

The missing truck has a toolbox in the back and a winch on the front, with WA License #BPY1099.

If you spot the truck or know where ‘Lucca’ is, please call 911 and reference case number C22005952.
