In 2017, Granger arrived at the animal shelter in Mahoning County, Ohio. In 2018 someone adopted him, and in 2022, he was picked up, once again, as a stray. When shelter staff contacted Granger’s owner, she told them that he could just stay there…and so he now sits in the exact same kennel that he was in so many years ago.

On Monday, the Mahoning County Dog Warden wrote:

He came to us as a stray towards the end of 2017. He was adopted in 2018. He came back as a stray a few weeks ago. We contacted his owner but she decided to leave him here. When I put him back in his kennel the other day I realized that he is in the same one that he was in over 4 yrs ago. 💔

Granger is estimated to be 5 to 6 years of age and he is described as “dog friendly.” His demeanor towards cats and children is unknown.

Granger is in need of assistance to find a new home – with someone who will responsibly care for him and give him the love that he deserves. If you would like to meet him please email [email protected] to request an application.
