Florida – A child’s puppy is fighting for his life after being attacked by an off-leash dog. Days ago, the pup, named Coby, was enjoying a walk with his young friend, Joshua, when a stray dog attacked, puncturing Coby’s esophagus, severing his trachea, and leaving the pup’s body covered in cuts and bruises.
Joshua’s mother, Jacqueline, created a fundraiser to help raise the money necessary to save Coby’s life. In the GoFundMe, she writes:
The doctor told me his only chance of survival was surgery and that it would cost approximately $5,900 to repair the damages of his injuries. My son cries every night, asking if his puppy will die, and as a mom, I want to do my best to save his dog. So, I’m asking for donations to help save Coby’s life.
Kind strangers have been donating funds to help save Coby’s life. So far, $3000 has been raised, but it is not enough. If anyone can help this family save their puppy, please consider a donation via GoFundMe, or phone the Miami Animal Clinic and let them know that you would like to donate on behalf of Coby Mendoza.
