Senior dog surrendered after owner died
Spread the love

A senior dog is homeless following the death of his owner. The nine-year-old dog, named Black and White, was left at the Los Angeles County Animal Control (Carson Facility) on May 30 and he is in need of a new family of his own.

Black & White is listed as a Cocker spaniel, though his fur is so unkempt that his breed is hard to determine. On Saturday, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page provided more information about the senior dog:

My former family who owned me for more than 5 years had to give me up because they passed away. But they said that I spend most of my time outdoors, but it’s not ideal. I have not been house trained. I have not learned how to walk on a leash. I am just learning obedience skills. I seem to get along well with dogs.

  1. There were 6 very shaggy furbabies dropped off at the shelter after their human passed away. All 6 of these furbabies will be wonderful snuggle buddies if given a chance. Isn’t there someone local who can groom them so that they are more comfortable in the warm weather???
