Police in Butler County, Ohio, are searching for whoever is responsible for a dog’s dismal condition. On Tuesday, the Office of the Butler County Sheriff issued a news release following the discovery of a skeletal dog, writing:
OWNER OF NEGLECTED CANINE
SOUGHTSheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on Monday May 11, 2020 the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Dog Warden was advised of an abandoned canine that was located at the corner of Lincoln and 6th Street in the city of Middletown.
The dog, an unaltered female pit bull mix, is described as “grossly emaciated.” No microchip or alternate form of identification was located. The neglected dog was taken to Animal Friends Veterinarian for care.
Cruelty won’t be tolerated
The sheriff’s office has stated that abuse and cruelty will not be tolerated, Sheriff Jones said:
“I cannot be any clearer than this. You abuse, neglect, or abandon an animal and cannot be a responsible dog owner we will hold you responsible. This is not going to be tolerated in Butler County.”
