Modern Family’s beloved dog, “Stella,” a French bulldog whose real name is Beatrice, passed away shortly after the popular sitcom wrapped up its final show. On Sunday, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell Pritchett) bid adieu to the dog on Twitter, writing:
Rest In Peace sweet Beatrice. We love you so much 😭
According to E-Online, Beatrice died not long after Modern Family’s finale wrapped up, ending an amazing 11-year run. Beatrice’s character, Stella, belonged to the family’s patriarch, Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill), who hilariously fell in love with the pooch – perhaps more so than his stunning wife, Gloria (Sofia Vergara).
Sources say that Beatrice passed away suddenly, and the reason for her death has not been released.
Rest in peace Beatrice.
