An Arizona man is facing animal cruelty charges after witnesses informed the authorities that he was abusing two dogs. As reported by Arizona Family, 34-year-old Bryan Ellis is the man suspected of abusing two pit bulls in Chino Valley.
According to witness statements, Ellis hit and threw the dogs. The abuse is recounted in a Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office report:
They described Ellis picking up the white dog and throwing the dog to the ground several times, while also hitting the dog. One of the witnesses saw the white dog walk away limping and vomiting. The brown pit bull had been dragged along the road surface by Ellis and was now safe at a nearby home, also vomiting. Both dogs appeared badly injured according to all witnesses.
One of the dogs was taken to a veterinarian for an exam and treatment – the dog had scraped and bleeding paws, as well as blood coming from the mouth. The other dog was never found.
Ellis was arrested and taken to a detention center – he is facing animal cruelty and judicial process violation charges.
No word on the current condition of the dog who was taken in for veterinary care.
