Terrified Dalmatian shutting down as he turned face to the wall at noisy Florida shelter

At the Lee County Domestic Animal Services located in Fort Meyers, Florida a one-year-old Dalmatian continues to suffer from kennel stress. The unnamed, one-year-old arrived at the shelter on December 26, 2025 as a stray. His family has not come forward.

A shelter volunteer was in tears:

A one-year-old Dalmatian who turned his face to the wall when fear took over. No barking. No fighting. Just waiting…

This dog is terrified and ‘shutting down’ in the shelter environment, which puts him in immediate danger of euthanasia.
