Just this week a dog was thrown from a moving car and left injured along Old Bristol Pike in Bucks County.

On January 6, the Tullytown Police Department began an active investigation of the disturbing incident calling the act “not only cruel but criminal.” The white dog appears to have had his left ear clipped.

The dog has been examined by veterinarians at the Bucks County SPCA and has been receiving treatment for minor wounds likely resulting from being thrown from a car, as well as other serious pre-existing medical conditions. The Humane Law Enforcement team is investigating in conjunction with Tullytown Police. Officials are concerned the dog may have experienced cruel treatment prior to this violent act.

A $5,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the perpetrator(s) has been offered. Anyone with information about this investigation can use the Bucks County SPCA report cruelty tip line at 844-SPCA-TIP (844-772-2847) or [email protected].

Charges will be pursued against anyone found to be involved in this incident.

Officials are actively working to identify the individual(s) responsible and to determine the ownership of the dog involved. Charges will be pursued against anyone found to be involved in this incident.

Witnesses and those with information can also contact Officer Crichton at [email protected].
