At the Upper Credit Humane Society in Ontario, Canada, sometimes a dog finding her home through nearly impossible odds, continues to renew our faith in happy endings.
A Doberman Pinscher, originally brought into a local animal shelter after she had been found as a stray, had been transferred to the Upper Credit Humane Society in order to provide her with more chances finding a loving home. Coco had not been microchipped, and no one had stepped up wanting to adopt her.
Coco was soon being shared on social media, and the rescue organization began receiving numerous inquiries about adoption. One message about Coco, however really stood out. It had been from a woman who contacted the staff stating Coco was her dog.

The woman said Coco had jumped a fence and injured her leg, and she had been searching for her dog ever since. The woman was able to provide veterinary records and photos which proved Coco indeed belonged to her
And then came the heartwarming reunion:

From that moment on, everything fell into place. The moment Coco and her owner were reunited, it was unmistakable — this was a family being made whole again. The recognition, relief, and overwhelming joy between them said everything.
Attached is the video of their emotional reunion.
Don’t you just love happy endings?
Please microchip your dog. Coco had not been microchipped, but lots of great staff members, volunteers and a huge swath of luck helped this dog find her home again.
