It’s Super Bowl commercial time! And on Sunday, following the championship game with New England Patriots edging over the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks over the Los Angeles Rams, the teams are ready. The competition for Super Bowl LX takes place in Santa Clara, California.

Part of the allure of the Super Bowl is certainly about the commercials, and Budweiser has historically taken the lead in imaginative content, often appealing to our love for the Clydesdales and their innovative and heartwarming adventures.

This time, Budweiser is celebrating their 150th anniversary with a release of their commercial featuring the Clydesdales accompanied by the video titled “American Icons,” and without a doubt, it’s awesome!

Anheuser Busch features Skynyrd’s 1973 hit “Free Bird” and begins with a young foal finding a fuzzy baby bird. The foal returns back to the stable, but then a torrential rainstorm ensues, and the foal runs out to protect the baby bird. Their friendship blossoms into what we all love to believe happens, and the foal tries to teach the bird to fly by running with it on its back.

Then we fast forward to the full grown Clydesdale and the grown bird that turns out to be a Bald Eagle, as the bird takes flight during a majestic sunset in the background.

Very cool!
